Beach Launch With PWC Support
Beach Launch With Personal Watercraft Support
Kiteboarding requires a lot of skill and attention just to deal with your kite, your board, the wind and the water. As if that isn’t enough, you also have to deal with hazards (rocks, piers, maybe even boats) and with other riders, surfers, swimmers, etc. This class, where you have the support of an instructor mounted on a Personal Watercraft (Jet Ski) is a great way to safely gain experience in the complex environment of a real recreational beach. You’ll have a helmet radio, provided by WOW Kiteboarding, to stay in touch with your instructor. Your instructor will help you steer clear of trouble, and can give you a hand if you get tired or frustrated.
This class is really fun for our instructors. You’ll go kiteboarding at 3rd Avenue Beach, and get a solid review of all your basic skills as they apply in the “real world”, where safety and proper etiquette are so important:
- Rigging your kite
- Offshore launching and landing
- Right-of-way rules for kiteboarders and other recreationists
- Self-rescue
